What is SEO Doctor Autopilot?

Autopilot is a feature in the SEO Doctor app that allows you to automate SEO issues fixing on your Shopify store. This feature smartly fixes about 90% of all SEO related issues on your store. It also continuously monitors incoming SEO issues as you add and delete products, collections, images and make changes to your store.

How to setup Autopilot

Setting up autopilot is very easy and straight to the point. To laser target SEO issues, we have broken it into Conditions and Rules. In simple terms, if X (Condition) happens Y (Rule) should apply.

Let's use Image Alt Text and Image Compression as examples

Example 1: Under Conditions for Image Alt Text if you select Optimize for only images with no alt text, what you are telling SEO Doctor to do is to only focus on images that have do not have alternative texts added to them, all other images with alt texts will be ignored and not optimized.

After selecting a Condition for Image Alt Text, you then continue to set a Rule. Rules allow you to select exactly what you want SEO Doctor to do when the Condition above is applied. If you select Let SEO Doctor Optimize, SEO Doctor is going to use the best possible algorithm to provide your images with alternative texts that are relevant and readable.

Example 2: Under Conditions for Image Compression if you select Compress only images above 50KB, what you are telling SEO Doctor to do is to only focus on compressing those images that have a file size of more than 50KB, all other images with a file size of less than 50KB will be ignored and not compressed.

After selecting a Condition for Image Compression, you then continue to set a Rule. Rules allows you to select exactly what you want SEO Doctor to do when the Condition above is applied. Upon selecting Let SEO Doctor Compress, SEO Doctor is going to use the best possible algorithm to compress the images to a much smaller size.

You can also select the conditions Don't fix Images Alt Text and Don't fix Image Compression to prevent Autopilot from automatically fixing issues related to Image Alt Text and Image Compression.
